TAKE ACTION -- STOP BIMINI BAY RESORT!

Hilton Hotels Corporation has amply demonstrated that environmental and humanitarian concerns will not stand in the way of the destruction of Bimini. We have to hit them the only place they'll feel it ... the wallet.

Please consider boycotting Hilton hotels and Hilton-affiliated hotels until the following demands are met:

1. Stop cutting all mangroves.


2. Restore mangrove ecosytems that have been destroyed already.


3. Stop construction of the golf course, or build a smaller course on already degraded land on North Bimini or South Bimini and commit to using no pesticides and fertilizers.


4. Restore estuarine streams already damaged by construction.

In order for the boycott to be effective, we must send Hilton mail explaining why they're being boycotted ... lots of it! Please take the time now to let Hilton know what you think about their Bimini Bay Resort and Casino Project.

Here is a SAMPLE LETTER for inspiration. Please write a letter in your own words to Hilton officials with copies to the media outlets listed below as well as to your local newspaper and major media.

If you have time after contacting Hilton, you can also email to TV programs such as 60 Minutes, 20/20 and Oprah asking them to publicize what is happening on Bimini (and many other places around the world).
